Brand Identity
Introducing Criva: a Swiss-based AI software company operating in the manufacturing space, enabling their clients to perfect visual inspection processes in complex and challenging environments, such as with technical finishes and microscopic dimensions.
Criva’s AI-powered software operates alongside an image capture setup, installed within the manufacturing process, and uses multiple nano-detail imagery of manufactured components to identify microscopic imperfections and flaws. This allows clients to ensure that only perfect components are signed off, as well as enabling them to identify areas in their manufacturing processes that need improvement.
After conducting a series of brand strategy workshops and stakeholder interviews with the senior team, the foundational idea of ‘Flawless Manufacturing’ was born. This idea became the brand’s mantra, and was carried through the visual identity.
Light plays a crucial role in the functioning of Criva, and this was reflected throughout the visual identity; the logo alludes to angles of light used when capturing component imagery, and light colour washes over the brand. As a foundational piece of the visual identity, I commissioned a series of 3D rendered components (created by Lindsay Horner) used to communicate Criva’s specialist manufacturing experience within specific industries; luxury watchmaking and medtech.
